It can be tough sometimes to get up for a summer sunrise. In Pittsburgh, that usually means the sun peaks up in the 5 o'clock hour. Here, rays of the morning sun peek between skyscrapers in Downtown Pittsburgh. This scene was well worth the lost sleep.

Usually when I take photos, I don't truly fall in love with the photo until I've fully processed and edited it. With this picture on the Clemente Bridge, however, that was not the case. Just seeing this in the viewfinder of the camera had my heart fluttering. It's absolutely perfect that the picture itself is of the love locks on the bridge in downtown Pittsburgh. Hundreds if not thousands of couples have purchased padlocks, etched their initials in them, and locked them to the side of the bridge for good luck with its key thrown away (akin to the Pont des Arts bridge in Paris). While the practice itself is frowned upon, this image gives me a big smile.
